Do you ever get the urge to getaway from everyday life? Do you ever feel like you could use a break? It's because you do! And why not take a trip that the entire family can enjoy? I guarantee they could use it too! Deciding to travel together as a family is a great way to spend quality time together and create memories that will last a lifetime. Here are my top 4 reasons you and your family should plan and book your next vacation...today.
1. Vacations reduce stress, for the ENTIRE family!
Vacations provide an opportunity to spend quality time with loved ones. Setting time aside to unwind in a different setting can provide tremendous health benefits, through stress alleviation!...Not just for adults, but for children as well. We all know how busy, hectic and overwhelming our routine lives can become, from school to work...to appointments and extracurriculars; somtimes we just need a break from it all. Our bodies aren't meant to always be "on the go" with no rest periods, so taking the time to rest and relax with loved ones is the perfect anitidote. A break in routine can actually boost productivity! Now, if you're anything like me, you're probably wondering..."Amber, how in the world am I suppose to get a break if the kids are with me?" And I'm here to tell ya, IT CAN BE DONE! All you have to do is..."know where to go"! There are tons of kid friendly vacation spots...send me a message and I can point you in the right direction.
2. Kids get bored
Check out my middle kid to the left...see what I mean? Yes, staying home can provide opportunity to get creative and try on every piece of clothing in the closet...towel closet included...but at some point kids run out of things to do, and want to explore outside the home. Staying home all the time limits kids in many ways. They aren't able to reach their fullest potential when stuck inside the house. Venturing on a family vacation teaches your children more about the world around them. There is so much out there to see! Different cultures, cuisines, environments and people! Being given the opportunity to see these different things first hand can open your kids eyes to the world around them. While playing dress up is fun, these are the kinds of experiences that can never be gained at home. They will thank you someday.
3. It's just plain FUN!
When at home, your kids see you as a parent or guardian. There’s ABSOLUTELY nothing FUN about that title! You're the boss who makes all the house rules…enforcing them day after day, like a drill sergeant. But on vacation, your kids can finally see the happy, playful, carefree, FUN side of you! Not only is “play” enjoyable for the entire family…it’s also great for your own mental health! We as parents often forget to chill-lax and let our silliness show, which isn’t healthy or happy for anyone. But being able to see and experience that side of you will
